Better Than Before – Day 21

Wrapping up scheduling…

What are the benefits of scheduling?

  • Scheduling is a powerful weapon against procrastination because a regular schedule increases engagement and reduces anxiety (a common result of procrastination).
  • Scheduling reduces pressure – without scheduling it’s easy to spend the entire day worrying about working but not working.
  • Scheduling helps develop the habit that creates time to do the things we value most – work, fun, exercise, friends, errands, study, and more – in a way that’s sustainable.
  • Scheduling helps eliminate decision-making (another challenge of procrastinators and often those with ADHD)

Gretchen Rubin’s final comments about scheduling: “Scheduling helps us make time for the things that are most important to us. How we schedule our days is how we spend our lives.”

What’s your schedule for the week ahead?

Tomorrow I’ll begin blogging about accountability – just one of the many reasons people want to work with a coach.
